Sandblasting

Sand Blasted White FlowersSandblasting is a form of etching that has a depth not obtainable by other forms of etching. A design is created, transferred in reverse to a medium coating on the glass surface, cut out by hand, weeded and then blasted inside a cabinet. Often there are two or more blast sessions to obtain several different levels in the glass. The glass is then cleaned and reset in the window frame. This is basically the same process used for all of the glass containers. Specialized glassware, such as rock or wine glasses, with initials or personalized logos can be creative from your designs.

The sandblasted windows are created on old farmhouse windows that have been repurposed for this art. Each one is planned and designed with a unique subject in mind. The wooden frame is processed in such a manner that it may be hung on an outdoor porch though not directly in the elements.

Stained Glass

Stained Glass Dogwood Flowers"Stained Glass is colored glass used for making decorative windows and other objects through which light passes"  ~ Britannica

All of these stained glass pieces are creative and designed by Lyssa. Each one has a different motif and special things that are incorporated. After collecting many unusual pieces of different paraphernalia, Lyssa is combining them into her creations in stained glass. Some are stones, or shells, and small slab pieces of geodes. There are also old clock works or coins from The Atocha, a ship that sunk off Florida and  carried old English coins.

If you have some special treasure you want to save, it can be integrated into a piece for you.
